Leicestershire Constabulary regularly carries out surveys of people who have come into contact with the Force to assess how well we respond to incidents and deal with victims and where we can improve.
In surveys carried out between April 1, 2007 and March 31, 2008, 97% of domestic burglary victims found contacting the police easy and 88% were satisfied with the overall service provided.

Twice a year Leicestershire Constabulary commissions an external research company to ask the public about their perceptions of policing. In the latest survey of 1600 people in April 2008, 73% told us that they feel safe walking out in their neighbourhood at night.
Over 60% of people are satisfied with the level of patrol by police officers and fear of crime across a range of crime categories is at its lowest since the survey began in 2006.
60% of those surveyed believed that their local police are doing a good or excellent job.
