Thefts from motor vehicles in Thorpe Astley
Police are appealing for witnesses after three thefts from motor vehicles in Thorpe Astley.
The incidents happened between 6.30pm on Tuesday November 3, and 9.30am on Wednesday November 4, 2009 when cars parked on Bromwich Close, The Littlefare and Smart Close were targeted.
Some of the items taken from the cars, a burgundy Ford Fiesta, a silver Ford Mondeo and a black Renault Clio, were two sat nav’s, personal items, a laptop and a camera.
Stolen from the Mondeo was an expensive quantity of DJ equipment including headphones and CD’s.
Due to the close proximity of these locations and dates, officers are linking these incidents.
PCSO Lewis Dedmen-Ert, from the Thorpe Astley and Braunstone Town beat team, said: “We are keen to get these items back to their owners and are hoping that by releasing details of the incidents the public will contact us with any information they have.
“If you were a witness or know who was involved then we would like to hear from you. We would also like to remind motorists about the importance of taking any items of value out of their vehicles when leaving them unattended.”
