Theft from opticians in the city
Police are appealing for witnesses after several pairs of glasses were stolen from an opticians in Leicester.
The incident happened between 9am and 11.30am on Saturday November 14, when a member of staff at the store, at a shopping centre in the city, found that nineteen pairs of glasses had been taken
The stolen designer glasses were made by Dolce and Gabbana, Bulgari, Versace, Dior, Prada and Gucci.
PC Mohammed Surve, the officer investigating the incident, said: “We are hoping that by appealing to the public someone will come forward and help us with our investigation.
“Due to the number of pairs stolen it is possible the suspect was placing them in a bag. We would ask anyone who was in the shop at this time that saw anything suspicious to contact us.
“We would also like to ask anyone who is approached by someone selling designer glasses, similar to the ones described, to call us.”
