Burglary at bakery in Queens Road
Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a burglary at a bakery in Queens Road, Leicester.
The incident happened between 4pm on Saturday November 7 and 6.45am on Monday November 9, when a member of staff, at Hampshires Bakery, found a door to the property had been forced open.
Upon entering the bakery it was found that an untidy search had been made and a small quantity of money had been taken.
PC Harvey Watson, the officer investigating the incident, said: “We are appealing to anyone who thinks they might have any information about the burglary to contact us.
“Queens Road has a range of bars and shops on it and so can get quite busy during the weekend. We would like to appeal to anyone who lives in the area or socialises there to think back. Can you remember seeing anyone acting suspiciously near the bakery? Did you hear anything that made you to look at the bakery? Do you know those involved? Any information could help so please give us a call.”
