Vandalism at 22 homes in South Wigston
Police are appealing for witnesses after damage was caused to twenty two properties in the Fairfield Estate, South Wigston.
The incidents happened between 9pm and 11pm on Saturday November 14, in Parvian Road, Durham Drive, Gloucester Crescent, Anglesey Road, Stafford Drive and Cornwall Road.
Most the vandalism involved damage to boundary walls at the front of the properties – such as removing coping stones or knocking over pillars - one wall was knocked over completely. Damage was also caused to some plants and a vehicle.
PC Tanya Lehane, an officer from Wigston local policing unit, said: “We would like to appeal to residents in the area to call us if they believe they witnessed any of the incidents.
“We have increased patrols in the area and have posted leaflets to the community appealing for witnesses, but we are hoping that this release will reach those people who we have not already spoken to.
“If you live in the area and can remember seeing anyone acting suspiciously, who you think could be responsible for the damage, then please call us and help us with our investigation.
“We would also like to appeal to anyone who believes they have also been a victim to call us.”
