Assault in Coalville
Officers are appealing for public help following an assault in Coalville.
The incident happened between 12.15pm and 12.50pm on Tuesday December 15, 2009 as the 18-year-old victim was walking along the bridge crossing the railway track between Hotel Street and the back of Coalville Market Place.
He was approached by a youth on a pushbike who pulled him to the ground and punched him several times.
He managed to break free and run off. He received bruising but did not seek medical treatment.
The suspect is described as white, between 16 and 17-years-old, of slim build and was wearing a dark jacket and tracksuit bottoms. He believed to have been riding a distinctive blue and green coloured ‘Shockwave’ bike.
PC Adam Archer, the officer investigating the incident, said: “This assault has not left the victim concerned for his safety and he is now reluctant to go out on his own.
“We are appealing for information from anybody who might have seen something, either before or after the assault, which would assist us in our investigation.
“Any information you have in relation to this incident could help us with our investigation, so if you think you can help, please call.”
