Appeal for witnesses after robbery on New Parks Boulevard
Police are appealing for two witnesses to come forward after a woman was robbed on New Parks Boulevard.
The incident happened at around 6.55pm on Wednesday February 3, 2010 when the victim, in her fifties, was walking along New Parks Boulevard.
As she neared her vehicle, a blue BMW, which was parked at the junction with Sharmon Crescent, she was suddenly spun around and her handbag was grabbed from her shoulder.
The robber made off along Sharmon Crescent with her black handbag containing a quantity of cash, paperwork, personal items and jewellery.
The suspect is described as white, about 20-years-old, around 6ft tall and of slim build. He was wearing a dark zip up top and dark bottoms.
The victim fell against her vehicle during the struggle to hold onto her bag but was not injured.
PC Richard Smith, who is investigating this incident, said: "We are keen to trace two young women who were walking past with a pushchair at the time of the incident. There is a good chance that these women may have witnessed the robbery.
"Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could assist us with our enquiries so we would ask anyone who thinks they can help to get in touch."
