Malgorzata Wnuczek is a 29-year-old migrant worker from Poland who came to Leicester to work in July 2005.
She went back to visit family in Poland in April 2006 and told them she was returning to Leicester. However, when she didn't make contact with her family again for some time they reported her missing to the Polish police. The Polish authorities then contacted Leicestershire Constabulary in November 2006 and officers have be making enquiries since then to establish her current whereabouts.
They have been working closely with both the settled and migrant Polish communities in Leicester and throughout the UK in a bid to locate her and have acted on a number of possible sightings. There have also been appeals made in Poland in case she has returned. However Malgorzata has still not been located and she has not made contact with her family.
By speaking to people who knew her detectives have been able to establish there are four addresses in the Hinckley Road and Spinney Hill Park areas where she is known to have lived.
A specially dedicated phone line and email address have been created with both English and Polish speaking officers dealing with the enquiries.
