Classes of information
In providing this information, Leicestershire Constabulary is following the legally approved ACPO model publication scheme.
The Freedom of Information Act requires a publication scheme to specify the classes of information the public authority already publishes or intends to publish. Leicestershire Constabulary's intention is to publish as much information as possible on subjects where there is known to be public interest.
However exemptions under the Freedom of Information Act may prevent some information from being released. The police service will, in most cases, seek to apply an exemption to prevent the release of information concerning police investigations when requested under the Act.
Leicestershire Constabulary publishes, or intends to publish, information under the classes listed below.
- Who we are and what we do
- What we spend
- What our priorities are
- How we make decisions
- Policies and procedures
- Lists and registers
- Services provided
Information and publications will be made available on the Leicestershire Constabulary website, by email or by post. You can apply for information and publications not contained on our website by contacting the Data Protection and Information Security section.
