Special Officers come from all walks of life and volunteer to undertake policing duties alongside Regular Officers. They develop skills that are transferable and are highly valued by employers. They are asked to volunteer a minimum of four hours a week or 16 hours per month. Although unpaid, we will cover some expenses; offer extensive training, a Leicestershire Police uniform and the opportunity to gain a wide variety of skills that are transferable to existing or future employers.
We would also recommend that you check if you meet all of the eligibility criteria for Special Constables before you attend.
Leicestershire Police is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all sections of the community to better reflect the diverse community we serve.
