Wigston local policing unit polices the growing residential communities of Wigston, South Wigston and Oadby.
The area includes a wide range of shops, restaurants, public houses, religious centres, schools and health and leisure facilities. The area also includes some light industry.
On the western boundary, the LPU covers the Glen Parva Young Offenders Centre.
