North West Leicestershire local policing unit (LPU) covers a geographical area of 108 square miles and has a population of around 88,000 people.
The LPU covers the the market towns of Ashby de la Zouch and Coalville and shares the same boundaries as North West Leicestershire District Council.
The area is regularly frequented by visitors from out of the area due to the number of tourist attractions on the LPU including The National Forest, Snibston Discovery Park, Conkers, Moira Furnace, Ashby Castle, Staunton Harold Reservoir.
