Inspector Tim McCabe

Inspector Tim McCabe joined Merseyside Police in 1989.  He spent the first nine years of his career as a PC then as a Sergeant, in Liverpool city centre before transferring to Leicestershire Constabulary as a Sergeant in 1998.

His first role in Leicestershire was at Syston and he was promoted to Inspector in 2005 and remained on the North Area as an Operation Command Inspector.  He spent a year as Inspector of the North Area Community Safety Bureau before taking up the post of Commander of Loughborough Local Policing Unit in September 2008.

Inspector McCabe said; "There is a lot of great work going on in here in Loughborough.  We are focussing on the issues that have a detrimental affect on people's quality of life, the issues that drive up the fear of crime.  For me, neighbourhood policing is about feeling safe in our communities and I know that the officers at Loughborough are committed to listening and responding to the concerns of residents and make every effort to reduce the crimes that affect those people."
