Inspector Kam Mistry
Inspector Kam Mistry has been the Commander of Rutland local policing unit since September 2011.
Inspector Mistry joined Leicestershire Constabulary 18 years ago in 1993 and has a wide and varied career. He worked as a PC in Melton for five years before moving into CID at Hamilton where he worked on a number of major enquiries.
In 1999 he was promoted and worked as a Sergeant at Oakham, Belgrave, Hamilton and Melton. He then became Staff Officer to the Assistance Chief Constable and was promoted to Inspector in 2009 working on a number of strategic projects at Force Headquarters.
He became an Operation Command Inspector (OCI) for the Counties’ BCU covering nine local policing areas before taking over at Rutland in September 2011.

We have an excellent police team here at Rutland and we aim to deliver a high quality policing I want to be approachable and accessible to local people and ensure good police visibility in Rutland to give community reassurance.
