You told us…
Anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the form of street drinking and damage to play equipment on Coventry Road recreation ground, Lutterworth focusing on Friday and Saturday evenings between 1800-0100hrs
We responded…
High visible and covert patrols have taken place at the location by the local team on every late/night shift. Specific operations to target the location have been arranged following spikes in damage and peak seasonal times. (Halloween, Bonfire night, carnival, Xmas lights etc).
Youth inputs/ASB workshops have taken place at local schools as well as joint patrols with youth workers at the location. The CCTV system has been reviewed and all its pre-set camera locations reviewed and tours adjusted by local officers in order to obtain best evidence, if required.
Issues at the location are now at the quietest it has been for many years and the town council in particular are very happy at present. It will never be possible to reduce ASB/damage to zero at the location as it is the main park for the town, however the plan has been a success in that issues have not spiked and remained low this year.
