Blaby Local Policing Unit

Welcome to Blaby local policing unit

Encompassing a mix of both urban and rural communities, Blaby local policing unit (LPU) is responsible for policing an area covering more than 20 villages. All of which have a variety of needs and expectations.

In April 2007 Blaby LPU became coterminous with Blaby District and incorporated Braunstone Town, Leicester Forest East, Thorpe Astley, Kirby Muxloe and Glenfield.

Most officers work from Blaby police station although a small number of Neighbourhood officers will continue to work from Braunstone police station, which remains open to the public.

Please take a moment to complete our Public Consultation Survey which is aimed at collecting the views of residents of the Blaby District Council area about policing in the neighbourhood in which they live.
