You told us…

Obstructive parking offences on Croft Road,
Cosby, near to the Co-op store, between 9am and
8pm

We responded…

By carrying out foot and mobile patrols at different times during the day.We will continued them to embed the new parking restrictions and identify the most problematic times. Croft Road residents have continued to identify parking as a problem in community consultation questionnaires we have circulated. Eight people have been advised about their parking and so far nobody has been prosecuted. Cosby is also suffering an increase in HGV traffic, and dedicated patrols will assist in monitoring the issue and tackling it in partnership with the ‘2 Heavy Project.’ The Neighbourhood Team intend to continue with this priority over.

You told us…

Youth anti-social behaviour including damage to
property and nuisance behaviour in the street, on
Gwendoline Drive and Wheatlands Drive,
Countesthorpe, from 3pm - 11pm.

We responded…

By using targeted foot and mobile patrols in the area and a high visibility presence at the identified times. This has reduced the number of youths in the area and in turn the number of calls to the police has decreased. Regular callers have agreed that the issue has reduced tremendously. Details of youths found acting anti-socially have been taken and letters sent to parents via Blaby District Council. Two anti-social behaviour suspects are currently on bail for offences of criminal damage and public order, and this has sent out a strong message to local youths that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated. Community consultation questionnaires have indicated that the youth problem has migrated to the other end of the village. The Neighbourhood Team will now close this priority.
