  • Nick Woodrow Sgt Nick Woodrow (608) I joined Leicestershire Constabulary in 1996 and have worked at a number of different locations within the force, performing a number of assorted roles.

In 2008 I became a response sergeant working at Blaby Local Policing Unit.

I am now the neighbourhood sergeant for Braunstone Town, Thorpe Astley, Leicester Forest East, Kirby Muxloe and Glenfield based at Braunstone Local Policing Unit.

I have realised since joining the team how important quality of life issues are and how important they are to get right. The neighbourhood team is committed to improving the quality of life by tackling crime and addressing anti-social behaviour.
  • PC Luke Bedwell PC Luke Bedwell (1834) I joined Leicestershire Constabulary in 2006 and initially worked as a response officer before becoming the Principal Beat Officer for Braunstone Town in 2010.

I will make myself available to those living and working in Braunstone Town and I will focus on providing a visible police presence, reducing crime and tackling anti-social behaviour. I will be working hard with partners to target offenders and make Braunstone Town an even safer place to live and work.
  • PC Martin Aston PC Martin Aston (1955) I joined Leicestershire Constabulary in 2003 and served as a front line police officer for four years on the Blaby district. In 2007 I was appointed principal beat officer for Thorpe Astley and parts of Braunstone Town.
I am committed to providing a quality of policing service to the community I serve by tackling local issues and addressing any concers you may have.
I aim to be visible and accessible to the community by riding around the beat on my bicycle and by holding monthly beat surgeries at the new Community Centre.
If you have any concerns, problems or just something you think may be of interest to your local beat officer, please feel free to stop and talk to me when you see me out and about, pop into the Community Centre on a beat surgery day that will be advertised locally on noticeboards, or you can visit the Leicestershire Constabulary website.
  • Chris Phipps PCSO Chris Phipps (6873) “I have been a Police Community Support Officer for almost two years where I am currently part of the Braunstone Town neighbourhood team.

My focus is on tackling anti-social behaviour and reassuring the public.

  • PCSO Karen Marsden PCSO Karen Marsden (6077) "I have been working for the Leicestershire Constabulary as a Police Community Support Officer since March 2007. I am currently part of the Thorpe Astley neighbourhood team.

"My priorities are to tackle anti-social behaviour and other local issues, things that are important to the neighbourhood I serve.

"If there is anything you would like to discuss, or want me to look into for you, please contact me on 222 2222 and leave a voice mail on 6077 and I will get back to you when next on duty. Alternatively when you see me on the beat please feel free to stop me and discuss any issues you have."
