Neighbourhood Sergeant
-
Sgt Nick Woodrow (608)
I joined Leicestershire Constabulary in 1996 and have worked at a number of different locations within the force, performing a number of assorted roles.
In 2008 I became a response sergeant working at Blaby Local Policing Unit.
I am now the neighbourhood sergeant for Braunstone Town, Thorpe Astley, Leicester Forest East, Kirby Muxloe and Glenfield based at Braunstone Local Policing Unit.
I have realised since joining the team how important quality of life issues are and how important they are to get right. The neighbourhood team is committed to improving the quality of life by tackling crime and addressing anti-social behaviour.

PC Alistair Hopkinson (0759)
I have been a Police Constable for 11 years and during this time I have worked mostly in the Braunstone area. I am now looking forward to the challenge of my new role as principle beat officer (PBO) for Leicester Forest East.
After completing my probationary period I became the PBO for Braunstone town and moved on to become a general duty officer (GDO) some nine months later which enabled me to gain more general policing experience. I have also spent time with the neighbourhood action team (NAT) where I have been involved in investigative work.
My priorities are to tackle anti-social behaviour, burglary and speeding, things that are important to the neighbourhood I serve.
I aim to provide a highly visible and approachable presence while patrolling the local area and I look forward to the challenge ahead.
Feel free to stop me for a chat and raise any problems or ideas that you may have.
