
Welcome to Hinckley and Bosworth local policing unit
Hinckley and Bosworth local policing unit (LPU) is responsible for the policing of a large area in the west of the county.
The LPU covers a diverse mix of rural and urban areas and comprises a large number of rural towns and villages including Twycross, Barlestone, Desford, Botcheston, Kirkby Mallory, Market Bosworth, Barwell, Earl Shilton, Groby, Ratby, Markfield and Hinckley town.

Taking very basic precautions greatly reduces your chances of being victim of burglary. In the past seven days, more than half of the home burglaries or attempted burglaries in south Leicestershire were due to offenders entering a property through unlocked doors or windows, or talking their way in.

A 25-year-old man has been charged with burglary. The burglary happened between 5am on Saturday July 31 and 3pm on Wednesday August 4, 2010 at a house on Barwell Lane. He appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Saturday August 7, 2010.
