Welcome to Beaumont Leys local policing unit

Beaumont local policing unit (LPU) is responsible for policing the north west of Leicester city.

It is made up of the largely residential areas of Beaumont Leys, Mowmacre Hill, Stocking Farm, the Stadium Estate, Abbey Rise, New Parks and Kirby Frith.

In addition to these residential areas, there are two large secondary schools: New College and Babington, a large shopping centre complex with a number of key stores and the National Space Centre.

  • New Allotment Watch scheme in Leicester
    A new Allotment Watch scheme has been set up at three allotment sites in Leicester, thanks to support from officers from Beaumont Leys police station. The new scheme covers the Red Hill, Abbey Rise and Beaumont Leys Lane allotments and has been set up by a group of owners who want to increase security and prevent crime. It is hoped the scheme will also provide reassurance to the rest of the allotment owners.
