Three months on
16th December 2011, Kev Morris
Is it really three months since I became LPU Commander at Beaumont Leys? Gosh doesn't time fly. It has really been a busy three months with lots of positive activities by my team. We continue to target drug related activity especially the production and dealing of controlled substances. I am a firm believer that drugs fuel the majority of crime and by targeting this area of criminality we will be able to make significant impacts on other crimes such as burglary, car crime and general incidents of theft.
I would urge anyone who has any information about criminal activity to contact my team or Crimestoppers so we can investigate and hopefully bring more people to justice. It is only by working together that we can hope to reduce crime in our communities.
Just a few statistics to back up my argument: burglary is down by 33% which is 106 fewer victims. Car crime has reduced by 18%, thats 75 fewer vehicles broken into and robbery is down 17%. All of which is good news for the people who live, work and visit Beaumont Leys.
Please keep them peeled
