Inspector Andy Parkes

I am Inspector Andy Parkes and as of the 28th December, 2011, I am the Local Policing Unit Commander for Hinckley Road LPU. I first joined Leicestershire Police in 1996 as a Special Constable before joining full-time in 2001. I have spent most of my career to date working on the City area at various LPUs, including Hinckley Road, in many different roles as a PC, Sergeant and Inspector. Since being promoted to Inspector I have also worked at Police Headquarters on our approach to ASB and most recently, on developing a Continuous Improvement team for the organisation.

It is a pleasure to be returning to Hinckley Road as the LPU Commander and I am looking forward to taking on the challenges that such a busy and vibrant part of our City brings with it. Working hard with colleagues, partners and of course the community, I will be making sure we deliver a quality service as we address your priorities and seek to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.

You may well see me out and about on patrol with colleagues or at the various meetings and events that are planned so please feel free to speak to me about policing in our community. I will also be posting key updates and messages on Twitter, @HinckleyRoadLPU, and via my LPU Commanders Blog and, of course, you can contact me at Hinckley Road LPU should you so wish.
