Neighbourhood Sergeant

Sgt Deborah Thompson (4742) I joined the Police Service in 2003 and transferred from West Mids Police to Leicester in April 2009. I have undertaken a variety of roles but love the challenge of neighbourhood policing and working with the community in Charnwood ward as well as looking for solutions to long term problems.
I try to be out as much as possible on the bike when the computer doesn’t beckon, and am looking forward to meeting the residents and community on the Humberstone and Hamilton ward, as I am temprarily also covering that beat.

PC Ash Lorgat (2042)
I have been with Leicestershire Constabulary as a Police Constable since I joined the service in December 2003. I have always worked in the Leicester city area initially from Asfordby Street Police Station and then Spinney Hill Park, since it opened in 2005. I have mostly worked as a Response Officer throughout my career but also have experience with CID, Immigration and Public Safety work.
I joined the Neighbourhood Policing Team in April 2009 and am very keen to work with the local communities, businesses and schools in the areas. Please feel free to contact me either by email, or in person.

PC Karen Welford (4002) My name is Karen Welford, I have been a police officer for a number of years. I started my career in Thames Valley Police, then The Metropolitan Police, and transferred to Leicestershire police in 2009. I was a response officer before becoming a neighbourhood officer on St Matthews Estate. I have a neighbourhood policing background and have been working with anti-social behaviour issues as part of a multi agency problem-solving team. I am a very approachable person and willing to listen. I will always deal with any situation sensitively, and respect confidences, if shared. I enjoy being involved in the community, and am looking forward to working with local people.

PCSO James Aucott (6186)
I joined Leicestershire Constabulary as a police community support officer (PCSO) in February 2009. I am keen to continue to build up the relationships I have already formed with this community and will be working hard with the rest of the team to tackle issues of anti-social behaviour. Please talk me about any matters that concern you.

PCSO Kay Simpson (6129)
I joined Leicestershire Constabulary as a police community support officer (PCSO) in September 2007. I am now part of the neighbourhood team for Charnwood based at Keyham Lane Police Station. I am looking forward to my role in supporting the community and helping them to deal with any policing issues they may have, as well raising awareness of crime prevention and tackling problems of anti-social behaviour.
I am a very approachable person and would ask anyone who has any issues they wish to discuss to please contact me at the police station or speak to me whilst I am out on the beat. -
