Information notice: New measures on transfer or possession of deactivated firearms
There has been a change to the controls on the possession and transfer of deactivated firearms. Please read the guidance from the Home Office on what action you may need to take if you own or intend to acquire or sell a deactivated firearm.
If you’re transferring a deactivated firearm
You’ll be required to send the following information to the Home office:
- a description of the deactivated firearm which must include, if known, the make, calibre and serial number of the firearm
- details of the name and address of: the person giving notice and the person to whom the deactivated firearm has been, or will be, transferred
