There are several areas of Force business where it is likely that an appeal, dispute or complaint will be made following the decision to disclose certain information or withhold certain information from disclosure. These procedures cover disputes/reviews from decisions made in these areas of Force business: Data Protection Subject Access; Freedom of Information; Criminal Records Bureau Disclosures; Exceptional Case Review

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that Leicestershire Police have a robust and efficient response to the investigation, administration and return of stolen vehicles. This replaces the previous arrangements, where an owner opted whether or not to allow their vehicle to be forensically examined. Upon recovery of a stolen vehicle it may require forensic examination to maximise the investigative opportunities and the potential for detection and apprehension of the offender.
