Gross misconduct hearing - police officer

A Leicestershire Police officer is due to appear before a gross misconduct hearing.

It is alleged that on various dates between 2019 and 2025, the officer attempted to make contact and/or made contact with individuals selling sexual services in an attempt to procure sexual services.

It is also alleged that when interviewed in relation to this, the officer's response was not true and/or deliberately misleading.

It is alleged that the conduct of the officer breached standards of professional behaviour, namely honesty and integrity and discreditable conduct.

The hearing is due to take place at Leicestershire Police force headquarters at 10am on Wednesday 4 November 2026 and is scheduled to last for two days.

Representations have been made to the Chair for the officer’s name to be anonymised during the course of the hearing and in any publication made following the hearing. A final decision in relation to anonymity has not yet been made by the Chair.
