This policy and the associated procedures sets out the approach of Leicestershire Police towards applications, hearings, closure and the reviews of licences granted under the Licensing Act 2003.

This Policy is intended to ensure all those affected by stalking and harassment receive a consistent quality of service and an appropriate level of support.

Leicestershire Police is committed to dealing with every Road Traffic Collision (RTC) with professionalism, respect and consideration. We aim to provide all involved with a high level of service, from the minute the collision is reported to the point a case is closed.

This policy aims to provide an incident and crime recording system that is consistently applied, delivers accurate statistics that are trusted by the public and puts the needs of victims at its core.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that Leicestershire Police have a robust and efficient response to the investigation, administration and return of stolen vehicles. This replaces the previous arrangements, where an owner opted whether or not to allow their vehicle to be forensically examined. Upon recovery of a stolen vehicle it may require forensic examination to maximise the investigative opportunities and the potential for detection and apprehension of the offender. The Police (Property) Act 1897, as amended by the Police (Property) Act 1997 allows regulations to be made in relation to the disposal of property that has come into Police possession. This is where it is in connection with their investigations, where the property is unclaimed, perishable, or where it is too expensive or inconvenient to keep.
