A driver has died following a collision in Ullesthorpe Road, Lutterworth, today (Thursday).
Police were called to the collision, which involved a Volkswagen white caddy van and a refrigerated light goods vehicle at 10.03am.
East Midlands Ambulance Service and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
The driver of the van, a man in his 20s, died at the scene of the collision.
No other injuries were reported.
A road closure was in place following the collision. It was reopened just after 2pm.
Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision and officers are appealing to anyone with any information to make contact.
Detective Constable Peter Davies said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who saw either of the vehicles prior to the incident to make contact with us, if you have not already done so.
“Anyone with any dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident should also check this and get in touch.”
