A Birmingham man is due to appear in court after an incident outside Spinney Hill police station in East Park Road, Leicester, yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 11 June).
Mohamed Abdikarim Ali, 27, of Clifton Road, Aston, Birmingham, has been charged with resisting arrest, public order, possession of a bladed article in a public place and two counts of assault on a police officer. He is due to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Friday 28 June.
The charges relate to a report of a public order incident outside the station at 2.10pm. The officers sustained minor injuries, one officer received an injury to his elbow and was treated in hospital.
