A 52-year-old man has today (Friday 24 May) been charged with the murder of Constantine Papathanasiou.
Ricky Simon, of Mere Road, Leicester, has been remanded in custody.
Officers were called to a flat in St Peters Road, Leicester shortly after 5pm on 17 May following a report that a man had died.
The body of Constantine, 51, was found inside the flat and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A murder investigation was launched following initial enquiries and the completion of a post-mortem examination.
Simon will appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (25 May).
