A woman arrested in connection with an incident in Glenfield has been bailed while enquires continue.
Police were called at around 4.45am yesterday morning (15 May) by East Midlands Ambulance Service to a report of a man injured in Liberty Road, Leicester.
The man in his fifties, who had sustained a single stab wound, was taken to the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire where he remains in a stable condition.
A 41-year-old woman who was arrested in connection with the incident has since been bailed.
A cordon put in place at Liberty Road at its junction with Dupont Gardens to allow for an investigation at the scene has now been removed.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 58 of 15 May.
