Motorcyclist injured after serious collision in Leicester

Officers from the serious collision investigation unit are appealing for witnesses after a two-vehicle collision in Leicester yesterday (Monday 4 November).
The collision occurred at 4.30pm on Western Boulevard, near to the junction with Mill Lane, and involved a silver Toyota Corolla and a grey Yamaha motorcycle.
The motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
No-one else was injured during the incident.
A 59-year-old man has been voluntarily interviewed by officers and is helping police with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who saw either vehicles beforehand. They would also urge anyone who was travelling in the area around 4.30pm yesterday and has video recording equipment installed in their vehicles, to check if they have any footage which may assist them with their investigation.
