A man has been left seriously injured following a collision with a car in Thringstone, Coalville.
The incident, which happened in The Green, near the junction with Brook Lane, at around 9am yesterday (Weds), involved the male pedestrian and a silver Nissan car.
The man, who is in his 90s, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, with serious injuries. He currently remains in hospital.
No other injuries have been reported.
Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and officers are appealing to anyone with any information to make contact.
Detective Sergeant Ady Keeble said: “We are continuing to establish the circumstances of the incident and ask anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the Nissan car or male pedestrian prior to the incident to make contact.
“The collision happened at around 9am yesterday when people would have been in the area. If you were driving and have dashcam footage, please check this to see if you can assist with our enquiries.”
