Appeal for footage of fight in Leicester

Detectives investigating a report of a fight in the Belgrave area of Leicester are appealing for anyone with footage to come forward.
It happened in Melton Road, at around 7pm on Monday 17 August and involved six people.
It was reported that an argument took place which resulted in the victim, a 28-year-old man, being hit with a pole. This caused significant injuries to his arm.
Enquiries carried out to date have established that a number of people in the area at the time filmed the incident on their mobile phones.
Five men – aged 40, 27, 26, 23 and 20 – and all from Leicester were arrested in connection with the incident and later released on bail.
Detective Constable Martin Sneath, from East Leicester CID, is the investigating officer. He said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident but has not yet contacted police.
“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone who stopped and filmed what happened. Any information you can provide regarding the circumstances that led to the victim being assaulted could help with my investigation.
“This happened in a busy area of the city and I’m also keen to speak to anyone who was driving along Melton Road and has a dashcam installed in their vehicle.”
