Man charged with robbery and theft offences

A man has been charged with robbery and theft offences committed at premises in Leicester.
Dell Hurd, 44, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of robbery and one count of theft in relation to incidents which happened between 31 December last year and 2 February this year.
The charges relate to:
- A robbery at a premises in Belgrave Boulevard, Leicester, on 31 December 2019 during which cigarettes, coffee, chocolate and alcohol was stolen
- Theft of washing machine tablets from a premises in Bewcastle Grove, Leicester, on 1 January this year
- Robbery at a premises in Beaumanor Road, Leicester, on 2 February this year, during which cash was stolen
Hurd has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates Court today (27 February).
*Craig Sheldon, 40, of Drummond Road, Leicester, has previously been charged with four counts of robbery. This includes a robbery committed at a premises in Belgrave Boulevard on 31 December 2019 and a robbery at a premises in Beaumanor Road, Leicester, on 2 February this year.
