A man has been seriously injured following a two-car collision on the A6, Market Harborough.
Police were called to the incident near Kettering Road at 7.25am today (Thursday).
The collision involved a blue Hyundai Coupe and a silver Nissan Note.
The driver of the Hyundai, a man in his 60s, has been taken to the University Hospital of Coventry, Warwickshire, with serious injuries. The driver of the Nissan, a man who is also in his 60s, was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries. Both the men currently remain in hospital.
The road was closed while enquiries were carried out at the scene. It was reopened at around 2pm.
An investigation remains ongoing.
Detective Sergeant Paul Hawkins said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone with any information to make contact.
“Were you in the area at the time of the collision? Did you witness the incident or see either of the vehicles being driven prior to the collision?
“If you have any dashcam footage from the area at the time, we also urge you to check this and make contact with us.”
