Third arrest following incident in New Parks

A third man has been arrested following an incident in which a man was stabbed in the New Parks area.
A 25-year-old man, of Leicester, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident in New Parks Way which happened on Sunday 5 January.
He has since been released on police bail.
Police were called to New Parks Way at 5.26pm on 5 January where a man was found in the street with stab wound injuries.
The victim, who is in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Two men, both aged 26, and both of Leicester, have both previously been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident. They have both been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
Detective Constable Mike Archer said: “Our enquiries are continuing and anyone with any information in relation to the incident who has not yet spoken to police should make contact.
“Please think back to if you were in the area of New Parks Way opposite the New Parks swimming baths on that Sunday evening? Did you witness the incident or events leading up to it? Or do you have any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time which you have not yet spoken with us about?
“If you have any information at all, no matter how insignificant it may seem, it is not too late to make contact with us.”
