Murder investigation: Second man arrested released on bail

A 19-year-old man arrested on suspicion of the murder of Hassan Jama has been released on police bail.

Police were called to Bartholomew Street during the early hours of Saturday morning (18 July). Mr Jama, 19, died at the scene of the incident.

A 19-year-old man, of Leicester, was arrested on Sunday evening (19 July) in connection with the investigation.

He has been bailed to an address outside of the force area.

Yesterday evening, Ishaq Hassanjee, 18, of Leicester, was charged with the murder of Mr Jama.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Leicester Magistrates Court today (Wednesday).
