Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Stoke Road, Hinckley, yesterday afternoon (21 May).
From initial enquiries, two cars - a silver Rover and a black Fiat – were travelling at around 1.45pm down the A47 from the junction with Ashby Road before heading onto Stoke Road.
Enquiries are being carried out into the way in which the vehicles were being driven.
When the vehicles approached Stoke Road, the black Fiat was involved in a collision with a parked car in the area near the junction with Wykin Road. The parked car was a grey Volkswagen Passat.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident and officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw the Rover or Fiat vehicle in the area prior to the collision or who witnessed the collision.
A 27-year-old man, of Earl Shilton, has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been released on bail.
Detective Sergeant Fraser Macintosh said: “Investigations are continuing to establish the full circumstances of the incident and we are therefore asking anyone who was in the area at the time and who has any information to make contact.
“Please think back if you saw the vehicles involved or the collision and make contact with us.
“If you have any dashcam footage, please also check this to see if you have any information which could assist."
