Detectives are appealing for information following a disturbance at an address in Glenhills Boulevard, Leicester, yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 10 August).
Officers were called to the area at 2.50pm where a man in his 30s was found with serious injuries.
He was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary and has been discharged.
A woman, in her 30s, was also found to have suffered injuries at the scene. She was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Two males, aged 17 and 19, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They have since been released under investigation.
Following further enquiries, a 33-year-old man, of Leicester, has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, making threats to kill and stalking. He has been bailed.
Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident and officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time or who has any information to make contact.
Detective Sergeant Adrian Davies said: “We understand there were some other people in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident and may therefore be able to help us with our ongoing enquiries.
“If you were in the area at the time, please think back to anything you may have seen or heard and please make contact with us.”
