Four men have been charged in connection with a number of burglaries in Leicester

Four men have been charged in connection with a number of burglaries in the Braunstone and Evington areas in Leicester.

The offences occurred in December 2020 and January this year.

Each of the four men have been charged with four counts of aggravated burglary, three counts of burglary and one count of theft of a car. They are:

• Lee Heane, 30, of no fixed address
• Declan Winkless, 26, of Kirkdale Road, Leicester
• Sonny Brogan, 26, of Pine Road, Glenfield
• Javon Roach, 32, of Gopsall Street, Leicester.

They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on Monday 22 February.

A fifth person arrested, a 26-year-old man from Leicester, has been released on conditional bail.
