Three charged after assault in city park

Three people have been charged following an incident in Braunstone Park, Leicester last year.
Thomas Hopkins, 48, of Matts Close, Leicester has been charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
Two 14-year-old boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been charged with affray, possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place and racially aggravated public order
All three are due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 5 May.
The charges relate to an incident on the afternoon of 15 June 2020 involving two adults and two youths who were threatened by a number of people in the park. One man was also punched during the incident.
