Officers investigating a racist incident in Leicester are appealing for a motorist who stopped and helped the victims to get in touch.
Around 9.30pm on Friday (29 October) a family walking along Parker Drive were approached by a cyclist and subjected to racist abuse.
The suspect also pushed a member of the family before they managed to flag down a passing motorist.
The suspect rode off and was arrested a few minutes later nearby.
The 43-year-old Leicester man was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated common assault. He has since been released pending further investigations.
Officers would like to speak to the motorist who helped to assist the victims, she left the scene before police arrived.
