Appeal following collision on A47 Hinckley Road, Desford

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a woman suffered serious injuries in a collision on the A47 Hinckley Road, Desford, yesterday (Friday).
The incident, which involved a black Peugeot car and a black Ford Focus car, happened at around 5.30pm outside The Bulls Head pub.
East Midlands Ambulance Service were in attendance at the scene.
The driver of the Peugeot car, a woman in her 20s, was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. She currently remains in hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The driver of the Ford Focus car, a male in his 20s, attended hospital himself following the incident. His injuries were not believed to be serious.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw either of the vehicles beforehand to make contact.
Police Constable Liam Street said: “Our enquiries are continuing and we are asking anyone with any information who has not yet spoken to us to get in touch.
“If you have any dashcam footage from the area at the time, please also check this and make contact with us.”
