Officers from the Roads Policing Unit (RPU) investigating a collision on the A6 are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
Shortly after 2pm yesterday (Wednesday 27 October), a report was received of a collision involving a silver Chevrolet Lacetti and a silver Yamaha MT-09 Tracer motorcycle around half a mile from the Welham Lane junction.
Both vehicles weree travelling south towards the roundabout junction with the A427.
The motorcyclist – a 50-year-old man – was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing. The driver of the car was not injured. The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene and reopened at around 4.20pm.
Officers would like to speak to one motorist who stopped at the scene while the motorcyclist was being treated – and are also asking anyone else who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to get in touch.
