Appeal for witnesses to Rushey Fields robbery
Main article content
Detectives investigating a report of robbery at the Rushey Fields Recreation Ground are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
At around 2.20pm on Sunday 12 September, a 16-year-old boy was riding a scooter when he was pushed off from behind by an unknown youth – believed to be 17 or 18 years old. The suspect then picked up the scooter and rode off along Harrison Road towards Gypsy Lane, accompanied by two other youths on bikes.
Detective Constable Owen Bird is the investigating officer. He said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who saw what happened or who saw three youths leaving the park and going down Harrison Road.
“It happened at a time when I am sure there’ll have been witnesses present. Please cast your mind back. Any information you have, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could help.”
