Driver dies following collision in Braunstone Town

A motorist involved in a collision in Braunstone Town on Wednesday 15 September has died.
Shortly after 10.30am, police were called to a report that a black Citroen C4 had collided with a tree close to the junction with Burdet Close.
The driver, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries, but died a few days later.
An appeal for witnesses was issued on 16 September.
Detective Sergeant Gary Haines, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I would still like to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision, or who saw the black Citroen prior to it occurring, to come forward if you have not already done so.”
“Any information you have, including any dashcam footage, could help our investigation.”
