A 27-year-old man charged with manslaughter following the death of a man who died after he was assaulted in Leicester city centre has appeared at court.
Joe Baldwin of no fixed address appeared before Leicester Magistrates’ Court today (2 September).
He has been remanded into custody to appear at Leicester Crown Court on Monday 11 October.
The charge relates to an incident on Friday 27 August where Charles Neeson was found unconscious on Braunstone Gate, outside Natterjacks, around 10.30pm. The 49-year-old from Leicester died in hospital on Monday evening (30 August).
