Woman involved in a collision in Leicester dies

A woman who was involved in a serious collision at the weekend in St Augustine Road has died.
Police were called at 2.15am on Sunday (12 September) to a report of a two-vehicle collision. A woman, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was taken to hospital where she subsequently died.
No one else was injured.
Two men, aged 20 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. They have since been released pending further investigations.
DC Kasie Carter from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said “We would still urge anyone who saw what happened and saw the cars just prior to the collision to get in touch.
“Do you have dashcam footage? If you were in the area of King Richards Road, Tudor Road or St Augustine Road at around 2.15am on Sunday we want to hear from you.”
